Default This is what the Firefighters in Detroit put up with everyday

What you will see in this story is nothing new. It's been going on for years and the firefighters usually pay for some repairs from their own pockets. The admin gets the digs, the firefighters get the dirt. Notice how professional the illustrious Deputy Fire Commissioner reacts.

I really didn't think it would happen but he's been fired. Don't worry though, they'll bring in another similar individual.

Yes Mayor Bing fired this POS.

What a fine example he showed the world of the Detriot Fire Department.

I hope they ripped his butt and took his pension away.

This pos has made every other top fire offical look bad as well as the DFD!

They will bring another smart mouth up throught the ranks to take his place.

Man, that Fire Commissioner is one arrogant POS!! Someone needs to give him a 2000 gpm enema.

I hope he was stripped of his pension and bennies when he was fired.

They put up with it for the love of the job and a sense of community.. it's too bad thatthe majority of the residents and the politicians don't give a fat rat's ***.

Love of the job and sense of community only can take you so far. Eventually most people need to see some results from all the work they do. Banging your head against the wall every day eventually wears a guy down. Those guys obviously have a lot of stamina. I'm sure they'd like to see a little ray of hope every once in a while. We can help them (and ourselves) by buying American.
