POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Lieutenant
May 22, 2012
Beginning May 22, 2012 at 9:00 am, the Cimarron Hills Fire Department (CHFD) will be accepting applications and resumes for the position of Lieutenant.
The minimum qualifications an applicant must meet are to be 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED, Accredited Firefighter II, Accredited Hazardous Materials Operations, Colorado State Emergency Medical Technician-Basic, NIMS 100, NIMS 200, NIMS 700 and NIMS 800.
Selected candidates must obtain an Accredited Fire Officer I certification or higher by July 1, 2013.

Candidates will be required to complete a testing process which may include:
 Tactical Assessment relating to scene size-up, strategy and tactic selection & implementation, and scene safety considerations.
 Interview to include value and character exercises and judgment assessments.
 In-box Prioritization Assessment to include the prioritization of emergency and non-emergent activities assigned.
 Role Play Assessment to include reaction and judgment exercises and community interaction.
 Written Assignments to include community and incident document creation & review.
 Written Examination to include the below mentioned documents.
The testing process will begin the week of July 23, 2012. Further date notification and scheduling will be made after the application period, and candidates will be contacted individually to receive this information.

 Fire and Emergency Services Company Officer, 4th Edition, IFSTA
 Fire and Emergency Services Instructor, Chapter 12, 7th Edition, IFSTA

 Supervision Today!, 6th Edition, Chapters 1 & 8, Robbins & DeCenzo

The Cimarron Hills Fire Department Lieutenant position salary begins at $46,345.00 in addition to a lucrative benefit package and applicable certification add-on stipends. Further benefit and salary information, position description, and select examination materials are available upon request.
