I'd say it has something to do with the pump mounting, judging from the picture.
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem.

The "SLT" designation only means the pumphouse and hose body are constructed in the Bradenton, Florida Pierce facility. The "Contender" name was dropped and the Florida "Custom Contenders" are now labeled as "Saber SLT's. Cab and chassis still constructed in the Appleton, Wisconsin plant. No chassis' built in Forida. And still many options to choose from for the money.

To: MVFDWA, thanks for clearing up the ( SLT ) designation on the Pierce apparatus ! I do know that you can order a X- custom contender or now called a Florida apparatus, with a big block chassis.

The big block engine chassis would then become the Velocity SLT. Same cab as the regular Velocity with fewer options. Limited to a straight front axle instead of the TAK-4 independent front axle, no one eleven (Praying Mantis) mirrors and a few other items normally on the Velocity. The Velocity SLT is presently manufactured completely in the Appleton, Wisconsin facility, not Florida.
