Looking for a little advice. last year I was denied (i believe during computer scoring) for an scba grant to replace 16 units dating from the late 1980's to 2000. Im sure we were denied because they were upgraded to NFPA 2002 with AFG grant funds in 2004. While the intent at the time was to be cost effective, we now have well used scba's that are a maintenance nightmare and difficult to keep in service. Is there any way to get the point across that these are in serious need of replacement? Im sure that the fact that I check them off as being 2002 NFPA compliant is getting us automatically rejected without anyone seeing the narrative. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I can supply more information via PM if anyone is interested, Thanks.
