National fire selection inventory exam scoring

Does anyone know how the National fire selection inventory exam is scored ,do they go by each section of the exam or overall .i know the fire-test exam is scored by each section math reading etc.Any help would be great

You only get one score, if that's what you're asking.

i sometimes think they just throw a random score at you with that test. I had a 60 once and then scored a 95 and then a 100...all NFSI tests.

The fire dept im testing with is going pass/fail so i will not know my score .The question I was asking is do they divide the sections of the NFSI test to be graded separately and then you are given a overall score so example you pass the reading part but not the math section you fail the exam .

You probably answered differently. I took the test twice and finished top 70 out of 4000 in one department(my current job) and top 40 out of 6000 with another department that I turned down. I think my scores were within 1% of each other.
