Thanks everything I find has to do with the physical portion and I'm wondering about the written part

I think there might be some confusion here. The CPAT - Candidate Physical Ability Test - is only a physical test, there is no written portion to it. A department might elect to hold a written test and CPAT in the same day, but they're two completely different things.
