Hi, I originally posted this under the Volunteer forum and only received one response. Just checking to see if anyone else can provide me with info. Thanks!

Do we just take the hit and accept the % as it is or is there a way to benefit from having them with our department and not sacrifice participation as it's reviewed by ISO? Also, do you keep up with training the career FF's do at their paid departments?

Members who are paid FF's at other departments are still classified as full members on our rolls. As such they have to meet the same training and participation requirements as everybody else. Our requirements are based on a points system, not a participation percentage.
We do allow them to use formal training recieved at work to count toward their training and LOSAP points, as long as the training is relevant.
