Anyone from San Antonio still in the process? Anyone taken the psychological here? I know out of towners took all three at the same time...any word?

More disqualifications, or will there be a second academy?

@TheHulk86 have you finished the process or are you still waiting to move to the Psyche eval?

    I'm thinking more DQs.

Yes, I'm still waiting...trying to be patient. I took the medical exam about 4 weeks ago. Passed it while there but obviously had to wait for drug/blood. I called a week later and they said they would let me know and to be patient.

    How about you Sparky?

Got it all done just waiting for them to send everything to the city manager for final selections, hopefully I get at least a month advanced notice so I can move. When I did the Psyche eval the Psychologist said last year the first 50 applicants were DQ

That makes sense that they would do all your stuff at once. I wish they would do that with local guys. 1st 50 DQ. wow. They were all DQ at the psyche eval or just somewhere along the way?

I'm betting the Backgrounds. I was told unless you go into the Psyche eval dressed like John Rambo then you won't have a problem with the Psyche Eval.

I'm not sure if it was the same for you guys but for the out of towners they told us everything that can go wrong on the backgrounds, they told us if your license was suspended in the last 2 years, even if it was by accident, then you will be disqualified.

Yah those background checks are no joke. They told us in the ergo test that one candidate had a glowing review from his apt super but because he had done some work for him and forgot to put it down he was dq.

To think you got dq on a great review!

    Hope to hear something soon

I got a call on thursday about moving on to the ergo test next week, so after monitoring this site for close to a year now i figured it was time to hop in on the conversation. Pumped to be able to continue with the process and see where it leads. Good luck to those still in the process.

There were about 30 people there. Mr. Hines said that they have already selected 31, with 8 still from the last group to be processed, and they are hiring 43 for the class starting the first or second week of january.

Those phs packets are no joke. Looks like i will be having to do some research to track down some old coworkers and such.
