Wild land firefight from the black
Recently an article appeard in our local district communicator that reads:
"Remember to stay out of the black as much as possible with the fire hose and expecially stay out of the hot spoits with the hose."
I can see keeping hose out of hot spots, but to tell volunteer firefighters to "Remember to stay out of the black as much as possible" could lead to confusion as to the safest place to be in a wild land fire.
Am I all wet here? What do you think?
