I seen a video this Spring of a combination fog / smooth bore nozzle but now I cannot remember who was the manufacturer.
It had the fog tip on a hinge that snapped down and away to expose a smooth bore nozzle.
Can anyone help me out?
Anyone try it yet?
TFT Fliptip. Try not to overdose on the Koolaid.
Thanks. Any experience we these units? Idea is sound to have best of both worlds in one nozzle.
We already have the best of both worlds with our Elkharts. 175 GPM @ 50 PSI fog screw onto a 15/16" internal smooth bore shutoff. Fog gets clogged, malfunctions, etc. just shut down and screw it off.

We use traditional Arkon fog nozzles now. I like the idea of adjustable tip for fog or smooth bore. Any suggestions on models to budget for? By budget for I mean we may never get one. :)
This is what we use on the lines with fog nozzles:
1 3/4" BREAK APART FOG
B-375-AT 1" SHUTOFF
4000-14HR FOG NOZZLE 175 GPM @ 50 PSI.
-This is Elkhart's "high rise" fog nozzle, so the teeth are fixed and the bumper glows. It is also the only model they offered with the flow and pressure we wanted.
281A MINI STREAM SHAPER
We use Akron break apart nozzles. 175gpm/75psi. Remove the tip and it's a 7/8 smoothbore. We pump the line at the same pressure whether the adjustable tip is on or not....get fairly close gpm and the pump operator doesn't have to change anything (or even know whether tip is on or not).
