    SALARY RANGE: $34,907.00 to $45,376.00 / Per Year
    OPEN PERIOD: Monday, August 20, 2012 to Friday, August 24, 2012
    SERIES & GRADE: GS-0081-06
    POSITION INFORMATION: Full Time - Permanent
    PROMOTION POTENTIAL: 06

    To qualify for this position, you must possess the following:



    Certification:

    A certification from the Department of Defense (DOD) as a certified Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Airport Firefighter, HAZMAT Awareness, HAZMAT Operations, Apparatus Driver-Operator for Pumper and Airport Rescue Firefighting (ARFF).



    AND

    In addition to the certification listed above, you must also possess the following:

    At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-05 grade level or higher performing the duties of a firefighter. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but it must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated and that it equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Credible specialized experience includes: (1) controlling or extinguishing fires as a member of an organized military, industrial, volunteer, or governmental fire department or brigade; (2) rescue operations; (3) detection, reduction, or elimination of potential fire hazards; (4) operation of fire communications equipment; (5) performing hazard and risk assessment techniques in completing initial incident analysis and controlling hazardous materials incidents.

    it is a firefighter postion, and more then likely they are still working !!!!!!!!72 hour weeks!!!!!!!!!

    OHH and possible age limit, maybe 35???
