Hey everyone, registered to this website to hopefully gain some knowledge in the FF career. My names Sam, finishing up my 2nd tour in Afghanistan here in the next month and 3 months after that ending my 4 years in the military to pursue a career in Fire Fighting. I look forward to the feedback I receive from the Veteran FF's, Paramedics, and anyone else who will give good information to get me closer to my dream of becoming a Fire Fighter!

Here's some advise: Take as many classes and get as many certifications as you can in the state in which you wish to work. There are a million people that want to be a firefighter. You can separate yourself from the crowd by bettering yourself and improving your resume.
