well, I know he's at least conscious and alert. I was on a friend's facebook page today and saw that he was friends with a certain Krautware salesman, so I made a friend request of said salesman, and a few hours later it was approved.........
Anyone seen or spoken to him lately????

Experiencing some growing and policy changes.A majority of which lands on my plate.Couple that with a nasty economic climate requiring more hours to survive and I have less time for the Forums.Still enjoying the Job and LOVING our recent equipment upgrades.

We had a aerial ladder testing company doing our yearly inspection a few months back, and the guy told me that he was at a fire department in Madison, N.J. were they have one of those Metz ladders-shoping cart and he said it was one of the best aerial devices he had every seen or tested !

Hello All,
As for Tony, he is doing fine. I spoke to him a few weeks ago. He said he would stop by with a T-Rex if he was ever in the area.
Woodbridge, the testing company was here in June and we gave them a demo of the what the METZ can do. Took them for a ride in the "basket" and set it up for them in all sorts of ways. They were amazed at the speed and smoothness of the truck. They did not test the truck only my ground ladders. Rosenbauer is scheduled to be out this month to do it's annual service and they re-certify the truck per NFPA at that time. The testing company was amazed as to how it worked. We've had her in service now for 3 years and are very pleased and satisfied with it.
Be safe,
Chief Lou

Those two guys were very pleased with the performance of your Metz aerial ladder, they said that it out performed anything that they have seen before. They travel the whole east coast doing ladder testing and most of there tests are on Pierce, E-One, Alf, etc. They were at our station testing all ground ladders ,and our Mack Aerialscope.

TC TC TC TC.....this leads us back to the age-old question.....How many ground ladders can the Krautware carry? Answer: Not enough for my TRUCK company. Hence the two steerin' wheels. And besides, Daddy always said "real ladder trucks have two steerin' wheels." So blame him for influencing me.

I think Sam dropped you on yer head as a child. The Metz, with proper PLANNING can carry a goodly load of ladders.PLUS you carry HOW many on the Toyne? You aren't THAT busy.....OR Lacking. Two wheelers have their place, that lil burg of yours ain't one of them.Time to dig your head out of the FWD and get into the lean mean 2000's.Now I'm as into planning as the next guy but I'm not speccing a Rig for the one in 10 or 20 yr event,I'm gonna spec it for what it is going to do every week or every day.Every M/A rig I call has Ladders on it,your mileage may vary
