Our dept just puchased a pumper/tanker and would like to shine up the tank. What should we use to clean up this polished aluminum tank?? Thanks

You need to use a rubbing/polishing compound formulated for aluminum, such as Flitz or Watr....(although I havn't seen Watr in a while, maybe they are out of business..??) lots and lots of elbow grease, it is extremely labor-intensive.

Anything containing Phosphoric Acid. That is why some people use Coke on aluminum wheels for an aid in polishing. There are some good commercial aluminum polishing compounds that contain Phosphoric Acid (check the label or contents listing). Check around a truck stop, or ask one of the guys that do it professionally at some truck stops. (Polishing aluminum fuel tanks on big rigs)
