Going to New York for 1 day!

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but hey, we'll give it a try!

I am going to New York on Friday and I have never been before, I plan on seeing the 911 Memorial, Statue Of Liberty, Times Square, China Town, Little Italy, and trying to see some stations!

I was wondering if there is any "Must See's"?? I know that a day isn't even scratching the surface of New York. I will go again sometime to do all the touristy things.. but I'm taking what I can get for now! Thanks for any advise or heads up in advance!!

if not to late suggest do the hop on hop off, cheap way to see alot, and you can get off spend time at a site you want to see and get back on

do you already have tickets to the staute of liberty???

and heard one report at the memorial if you can show id that you are a firefighter you can move up in the line, do not know how true???

Try to avoid Engine 10/Ladder 10 at the WTC site. Everyone in the known universe who is remotely associated with the fire service knocks on their doors at all hours of the day and night. If you want to look at the bronze memorial on the side of the station, by all means help yourself. But dont knock on the door or otherwise bother those guys.
