So I wake up to find that My dryer had stopped working sometime during the middle of the night due to a power glitch. My uniform shirt is wet and I am freaking out because I really do not want to report for duty only to pull My shirt off and stick it in the Departments dryer.
So I hang My shirt out of the window and surprisingly enough at 75MPH a 5.11 Polo will dry nicely over a 25 Mile trip.
Also I should add that seatbelts were worn and every safety precaution was taken and none of the wildlife were disturbed very much.
Anybody ever have one of those days?

First, I can imagine what the people on I-75 probably thought. ;-)
Second, are you required to show up for work with your duty shirt on and keep it on? I know I could care less if one of my guys showed up, explained what happened, and threw his shirt in the dryer for a bit.Career Fire Lieutenant

Yeah...........
I haven't had that happen..... Yet. But I did get up early one morning and make all the necessary preparations to drive the 6 miles to work........... On a Snowmobile.

Uh, you only got one shirt?
Actually, I've had this happen, but it was only damp and I just wore it anyway.

I was on a little family outing to the local farmer's market and we were heading to a festival in a nearby town. Well I am holding the flowers in my lap and little did I know they were dripping all over the croth of my jeans. Suddenly I realize my pants are wet and CRAP! Now what? It looked like I ****ed myself. So I took off my pants and just like you hung them out the window at 75 going down I94!

My posts reflect my views and opinions, not the organization I work for or my IAFF local. Some of which they may not agree. I.A.C.O.J. member
