    Default Roanoke VA 2012

    Does anyone have any info about Roanoke city and county fire Dept? How is the written exam ? Plus i hear that you do not get paid in there fire academy,I tried to look online for info but no success

    Roanoke City FD and Roanoke County FD are two completely different departments. Is there one of them in particular you were wondering about?

    I applied for both city and county,just wanted to know some info about the written exam and if you get paid during the time you are in the academy. Someone told me you don't get paid

    Why not contact Roanoke City and or Roanoke County and ask them about being paid while in training! That would be the best way to find out.

    I plan on calling Roanoke City and County but since I use this forum to get information I figure I would ask questions to see if someone can answer them.
