Has anyone ever completed an AS degree in Fire Science online with Allan Hancock community college?
I have a bunch of credits with another community college and was considering transferring all my units to Allan Hancock and finishing the Fire science degree through their online program.
Thanks

It is legit. While I am not a big fan of the online training process because I still believe strongly in the personal interaction between the instructor and the student that happens in the classroom, this is the "new way" of doing things and as long as the student is getting an education that will enhance their career, I can live with it.

Yeah Allan Hancock is accredited, it is all legit and based out of Santa Maria, CA. They have a real campus. I was hoping that someone might have taken an online class through them. Just wanted to know how they felt about it.

Probably the best place to seek feedback regarding online degrees and schools would be the forums at this website: http://www.degreeinfo.com. The site is dedicated to online education and has a very active community.

There si NO issue with earning a degree online. I earned my AA, Bachelors and Masters online. My degrees are issued from California State Universtiy Long Beach and nowehre does it state that they were earned online.
To the poster who does not believe in online training I can tell you that I have taken more classes than most (both online and in person). It is my opinion that online courses are much more difficult than going in person. It takes much more reading and understanding of the subject material than sitting in a class and listening to the instructor. That's my opinion though......
