Hello from San Francisco
I am a Fire Science student at City College of San Francisco working towards an A.S. Degree. I completed the FF1 Academy at CCSF in the Fall of 2011 and have been volunteering, interning and testing/interviewing to become a career firefighter in the SF Bay Area. Please feel free to message me with any questions about becoming a SF Bay Area firefighter you may have, I would be happy to help if I can.
I live in Florida but my goal is to become a firefighter with the San Francisco fire department :)
I grew up in North Florida. San Francisco FD is an excellent department! Are you planning on moving to the bay area? SFFD H-2 test should be in about a year!
I won't be moving to San Francisco for quite a few years. Here's my timeline so far:

Thats good, if you want to work for SFFD in the next 3 or 4 years you better get your EMT and put your name and email in for a interest card at the SFFD website. They will be testing in a year and will not test for another 3 or 4 at the minimum.
