    Give it a shot, HR in most big agencies make a lot of mistakes. Do to the shear volume of stuff that cames in all at once, and sometimes an over worked less talented staff. Alway be sure to keep up on tests you apply for. because if they make a mistake and the process has moved on, you are out of luck.

    I you reseach what the tesing process has been in the past, there have been a lot of odd things that have happened. Just be prepared for the odd and unusual.

    Log in to governmentjobs.com and click on view application status. Click on viewapp for your Oakland application and you can see which attachments you sent them. It's the best way to show that you attached your EMT card.

    Yes, I just checked. The NREMT cert is indeed attached. I will try to contact HR on Monday. Never done it before, but I think getting in touch with the right person at HR is the hard part.

    polymer i received the same letter and all my certs were sent with my app. I have used government Jobs for many apps with the same certs, so far this is the first app. to be rejected. Lets hope HR can fix this.

    Got the same email, called HR yesterday and they said it was because I attached my national registry cert and not the national registry card. Oops my bad, oh well lesson learned.

    Yes, it seems like we are out of luck. HR told me that I did not follow directions and to come back next time and apply for the next recruitment.

    On the flyer, it says "EMT license/certification." Now, because it indeed said license slash certification, I think many were led into thinking that the National Registry 8.5x11 certificate would suffice. After all, National Registry is National Registry. The card that goes in your wallet and your paper certificate are both the same thing.

    It's alright, lesson learned. But I'm not going to lie, it still stings a little bit when something like this has happened. Good luck to those going forward.

    I also received an invitation for the same week. They seem to be moving pretty fast, I wonder how many they're taking to oral.

    Interviews went well. Should hear back within 4 weeks. They turned quite a few people away from the interviews due to CPAT. Mostly due to not having a CPAT card issued as of September 2012 and one was due to obtaining the CPAT out of state.

    Departmental interview according to the job announcement. After that, it's a background, medical, psych, etc.

    Not totally sure. Could be a "Chiefs" interview or it may be Captains and BC's, etc. I would imagine it would be more like typical fire interviews as opposed to more general community based questions we got in the first oral board. I would prepare as you would and should have prepared for the first.
