FDNY Firefighters, would you like a sign for your fire house?
I just wanted to introduce myself, my name's Shawn Perkins from Portsmouth NH. I'm not a firefighter, but I do come from a family of firefighters, my Dad was on the local department for over twenty years.
I have recently built a large CNC machine and have been making signs and other various items for about a year now. A week ago, the idea came in to my mind for a firehouse sign, so I decided to do a design and see what it might look like. (see the attached picture)
If I was to build and donate a sign similar to the one in the photo, would you guys put it up in your fire house? They're a lot of work to make, even with the CNC machine, but I would gladly do it if the guys would make use of it.
My goal, is to donate a sign to every fire house in New York City if possible. It's just my way to give something back, and a way to show my appreciation to my Dad for all the years of service. I picked NYC because the folks there never seem to get a break. With the latest Hurricane, I'm sure you guys are exhausted.

It measures 24" x 48". The sign is made from a product call Komatex. It's an expanded PVC material, and requires no painting. It's very durable, and will last for years.
Anyways, let me know what you think. Comments, suggestions, ideas, very welcome.
Thanks,
Shawn
