That's pretty cool that they do all of the testing in one day for you guys. Congrats to everyone moving on!
Anyone have any idea how long the academy would be? I think I read somewhere it is usually 18 weeks but if they end up doing a split academy maybe it would be longer?
I'm not sure this is accurate. I know there are folks from the Springs that read this thread, if they are, chime in. I'm going to call some of the cats I know down there.
3 days a week? That doesn't sound right.
IT is accurate. Sundays as needed to suffice for a 40 hr work week. Academy will be closer to 14-15 weeks.
When I tested there were 7 people in A band and only 2 were hired. The A band has been fattened significantly to have a larger pool to hand pick from.
Remember it's not just your straight score. Have to consider military pref points, medic, experience. etc as to why one person may have been chosen to go on vs. another A bander.
Thanks for the update. Got my CPAT done today and that was the last thing. Now we just have to keep out fingers crossed and sweat it out until Friday.
Anyone know when we're supposed to hear about Final Offers?
Here's hoping we all get positive news.
I live in the springs, and work up in denver, the commute isn't really all that bad, and if you guys are only going three days a week, I can't see it being that tough. My academy was daily, that was rough, but once you get online, it's not all that hard.
saying that though, CS works a one on one off schedule. Maybe you should move.
Anyone heard about references getting called for backgrounds?
For the applicants that applied for the lateral position, banding results were released today.
FireCO- Band 1 I assume?
Anyone with a conditional offer for entry level also in band 1 for the lateral position?
Lots of rumors floating around, but can anyone offer any insight on a possible 2nd academy and how/when the lateral list may be utilized??
