It seems like Texas has a good amount of openings throughout the state, and it is a state I could honestly see myself living. I am definitely open to moving out of state for a career and this is not set in stone to be the one but like i said the posted openings looks promising. Before I look further into it i was wondering if I could get some input from some knowledgeable people here... these are two main concerns off the top of my head:
-When transferring IFASC certs, does that reflect in hiring process? Will me having transferred certs from WI hurt my chances getting hired? This is the site I was looking at for transferring: (http://www.tcfp.texas.gov/certificat...ansferring.asp)
-The state of TX does accept the NREMT-B and NREMT-P Certs correct?
Any help from the great minds on this forum would be appreciated!
Thanks
Aaron

No it will not hurt you, or should I say most depts it will not hurt you
Because at some point prior to applying or after you get hired you will be Tx certified
As for emt cannot answer that one call tdhs
https://www.dshs.state.tx.us/emstrau...s/newcert.shtm
Get straight from them, so you know for sure
Check the employment site weekly for adds or deletes of jobs

Yeah I am sure the summers are pretty brutal, me coming from Wisco it will be one hell of an adjustment.. However definitely looks like a promising state for the fire service and potentially my future career. What area of TX are you in? Thanks again for the input!
