helmet cam questions

hey all,
my girlfriend got me a FIRE CAMs 1080 helmet cam for christmas, just wondering if anyone out there is using or have used this model? if so does it matter if you mount it above or below the helmet brim? and how is its quality? videos on their website look pretty darn good.

ive got the fire cam 3 hd, its the one that shoots in 720p and it does pretty good, it has only screwed up once and that was in my first fire. Turned it on and it was recording, after the fire i went back to look at the footage and there was nothing on it. So i dont know what happened but anyways it does pretty good for itself and ive got mine mounted above my brim if that matters.
