South Hays Fire Academy (Tx)

Has anybody been to or heard much on South Hays fire academy/Texas Fire Academy?

At this time I already have my down payment in and i'm going to go get fitted for my bunker gear this week.I found this academy in particular to be unique as it is ran by South Hays fire dept esd #3.Due to my job schedule I am not able to go to a full time academy so this one was the closest i could get to one.

For those who are interested in this academy the class is run 2 times a year.The class itself is a every other weekend class Friday through Sunday staying at one of their fire stations.

Have not heard, but if their web site is honest appears to be good

If it fits your schedule even better

As long as you come out with Tx ff cert that us the goal

There is this, but involves two week solid on site class

Well their web site could use a little work but nothing major.I am going down there tomorrow to pay off the remainder of it and to pick up my books and to get sized for my gear.They are certified through TCFP/NFPA. Their web address is:

Training division was/is my 2nd choice but idk about going through a boot camp with 2 weeks of hands on experience.
