Just received my email for the CPAT. I am scheduled for Friday 3/8 in the afternoon. I'm hoping that isn't an indication of my written test score, i.e. lower scores go later in the week. Anyone know if that is the case or how they handle scheduling?

I am scheduled for 3/7 at 1245...also not sure if it's in regards to test scores. It's my understanding that they are both pass/fail and considering you get more than one chance to test over the next few months, I wouldn't imagine that the test scores affect anything like that.

Ahhhh man. I'm sorry for my earlier comments. I feel like a bad person now. I took the test yesterday and did not move on. I did not " listen". The test proctor started the stair climber and caught me off guard. I fell straight down on my face , suffering multiple cuts to my face a chest. My foot bent awkwardly. I suffered a torn rotator cuff in my left leg. Worst of all my pants fell off exposing my self to everyone. Hopefully my injury heals in time and my embarassment goes away as well. Do you guys have any advice for me. I really want to be in this next academy with you guys. My rehab is going well, dr said I am healing up very well and should make full recovery for the next test. For now I will be choking down on my chicken to keep my arm strength up. No I will "chow" and support you my brothers with all my strength.

Passed my Cpat today...glad to get it behind me. Congrats to anyone else who passed. And good luck to those who are going soon. Alot of people were failing on the stairs and alot were failing due to time. If you haven't taken it before, even though they say walk between obstacles, Don't stroll, walk as quick as you can. They guy In front of me was walking how they do in the video and needless to say he didn't leave with a card in hand...

good job jonboy..... I took mine today and also passed. Very surprised at how many people didn't pass. While I was waiting in the parking lot there was a group of 3 guys who all failed the step mill and were almost laughing about how they didn't make it. why even come out if your not going to take the process seriously?

Congrats man, and yea there were quite a few failing when I was there. And go figure man, some people just don't want it. But the sad thing is, they'll come back and do it half way again and fail, then come back and pass with a 10:19 and get hired before us. Atleast thats how life seems to go. Lol...but hey we made it this far and we all passed first go round. I'm happy with that.

Being from out of state, I submitted proof of a valid CPAT and did not have to take the VBFD CPAT. After you completed the CPAT, did they give any further information on when the next step will begin? Thank you in advance.

When I did mine, they gave me a temporary card and said I'd get a real one in the mail but no indication of when the next step begins. I don't think they can say yet because they still have to finish running all the Cpat candidates through may...

I took my CPAT last Friday I was scheduled at 10:15 but they let me go with the 9:45 group cause I arrived early. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. I finished with a time of 9:11. Congrats to everyone who passed hope we all move on.

The deadline for the CPAT is may 9th for those who failed or are gonna turn in cards from other depts. so vega is right, loooong wait for any news
