    Post Water Rescue Kentucky Duck Hunter Dec 17th 2012

    Swiftwater Teams from Farmers Volunteer Fire ,Morehead Fire and Route 377 VFD responded to a Duck Hunter trapped on the Licking River in Northeastern Kentucky.The hunter had overturned his boat and was in swiftwater 1 mile downstream for the Cave Run Lake Spillway.
    Hunter was treated and released by Rowan County EMS for mild hypothermia.

    Nice job by my fellow east Kentucky firefighters!

    That poor guy was just about ducked. In this weather, he didn't have too long in that cold duckin' water. He is one lucky motherducker.

    Any truth to the rumor that you Eastern KY Brothers use Ale 8 instead of saline in IV bags?

    I won't comment, but if you look real closely on the Ale 8 1 bottle, it says

    ALE81 USP

    And most Kentucky ambulances do not carry epi. I'm just sayin'.

    My Dad's family is all from Salt Lick. On rare occasion they make me really, REALLY happy with a six pack of bottles.
