Just checking in, Currently active duty sailor stationed on the east coast (VA) I have about 2 years left on my contract. Looking to finish my fire science degree along the way and continue education after serving (academy/university). I don't know what niche of the fire service I want to pursue but I am looking for more action so the smoke jumpers and wild land fire fighters have my interests. I want to be involved and certified on the medical side, no matter which way I decide to go, and possibly a rescue team as I wait for approval to go to the Navy's search and rescue swimmer school to get a taste for it.
