I was looking at a department in Indiana and noticed this on their hiring process page. Anyone ever heard of it or been through it. Curious as to what they might be doing...

well if you can not go through a tight maze with a face piece on or climb a ladder, you may not make it throught he physical agility test.
is that your question??

Nope- I was just wondering what their test might include- I am not worried about a tight space or ladder, just curious to what the test actually involves, im the kind of guy who likes to mentally prepared for whats up or down.

From my experience the claustrophobia test was a short course that you had to negotiate with a blacked out SCBA mask (often a hood placed on backwards over the mask). The acrophobia test is typically climbing up and down an aerial at a steady pace. Both are typically pass/fail either you can do it or you can't. When I was testing these were typically the last two portions of the test that were administered only if you passed the timed portion of the agility test.

No sir have not yet, currently theyre not accepting application. I am moving to the "area" and looking for departments in 100 mile radius. I happen to come across and they list that as one of their last requirements. They are really good about explaining every other step in the process, but that one is left very vague. The website is Ft Wayne Indiana FD under hirirng process. Didnt mean to dumb it down, but I loathe leaving about bits of info. Anyway let me know what you think.
