http://www.atlantaga.gov/modules/sho...ocumentid=5438 That is their strategic plan, directly off their website, it is pretty clear about their hiring and staffing needs over the next four years. Though it doesn't include the attrition rate of their retiring members.

Anyone have any more info on the department? Do firefighters ride the ambulance, or just fire trucks? Work schedule, runs, fire duty? I always like to have a good idea of how a department operates before I test! Thanks for any info!

Atlanta does 24/48. As well, they do not transport, that is done by Grady. Hope that helps you.

Can anyone comment whether or not you must have your EMT to apply? I thought I recalled seeing that requirement in the original posting, but can't find it in this posting.

Any word on how many they plan to hire in this application process and also a tentative date of hire? I know it usually a year from the application announcement. I received an email for my written and psychometric test at the end of April. I see they skipped the order listed on the application. I know in the past it has been the CPAT. Are they trying to knock out candidates to help alleviate a large number of candidates taking the CPAT?

Are they doing the cpat before the written? I haven't taken a written and received notification for the cpat orientation today.

The written was written prior to the cpat. I've completed the written and psychometric test as well. Email capt Moreland about your situation.
