Evansville Indiana FD Hiring Process

Anyone in the process for Evansville? If so any info, have you been in the process before? How long does it take? Any ideas what there disqualifiers are, besides what they have listed on the website? What the academy in Evansville like??

I did the process last year, it is the same company that does most of the test in Indiana, IPSP I think. There were something like 350 plus ppl last year. The interview process was maybe a month or so later. I made it within the top 100 people at the time and never heard anything past that! I'm still debating on doing the process again. I am located in north central indiana and did get on a fire department full time! But EFD seems to have their stuff together and would be a great FD to work for! hopefully this info helped!

I moving back home (Indianapolis) in a few months and was curious if driving 170 miles one way to work was worth it. I would have no problem doing so for a well managed department. As most people I would much rather be closer to my family in Indianapolis. I submitted my application the first day and my pin number was below 50 so I assume that at the time only 50 candiates had applied.

Did you know anyone that was picked up by EFD??

I'd say its worth the drive and fully expect a LOT more to apply.. I do know one person that was picked from their last process and have been trying to contact him since I found out they were going through another process. No luck so far... So not sure if I even have his current info! I'd say give her shot! There are not many depts in indiana doing as well as Eville and even fewer hiring.

Thank you for the info, it def helps! By the way if you remember your pin from last process you may be able to check out your old status. I would love to work in Evansville, just got to hope they want me to work for them.
Did you actually interview with them? If so do you remember type questions or processes?? And I know you didnt mention it, but I am curious if my current CPAT is still good or do they require their own?
