    Default Tanker Allowance

Is anybody able to give me an estimation on what FEMA is awarding/allowing for 749GPM/3000 Gallon Tanker/Tender? Is $300,000 too high or does $250,000 to $280,000 sound more realistic?

Seeing as it is EASY to buy a 3k tanker in the 2-225k range, 250 seems like a good fit.

Is the vendor jacking the price up? I think I remember Kurt talking about this in the class I attended.

Depends on chassis, in the flatter areas you can get away with a commercial chassis in the 350HP range on a 3k tank with a 2dr, but when you get to a 4dr or have any kind of elevation changes to deal with when you jump to 400HP+ on some of the chassis it's a price jump. A lot of the pricing I've seen stay low $200s is when it's 2000gal/4dr or 2500gal/2dr since those are about the same GVW, or close enough to be on the same motor size without issue. The 4dr/2500s in the hilly areas were anywhere from $240k-$280k for the beefier motors, trannys, and brakes. Don't want to be stuck not being able to get up a hill, or not stuck coming down one....
