Medic cert?

Are there any departments out there where a Medic cert still pretty much guarantees one a job? I have my Florida Firefighter 1&2 and should have my NREMT-P in about a month. Florida is inundated with Medics at the moment but I am open to the idea of relocating just about anywhere in the country. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I actually went to Medic school in Texas and heard of a few departments telling applicants that any Medic passing both the written and physical would get an offer.

This was a couple years ago however, glad to here things haven't changed much since then.

Yeah, the "red patch" gives any candidate a serious leg up on the competition. But, with that said, I don't think the patch alone will get you a job. The patch, your fire cert (1&2) and a clean background will.
