I live in Seattle, so I called the HR office and they said I got the job and should get my packet probably tomorrow or Monday.

You proactive SOB. Good work. How'd you think you did on your san diego oral board compared to your seattle boards? Also, did they say what academy you'd be in?

I thought my San Diego one went a little better. But I also think that the two departments were looking for completely different sorts of personalities. For example, I got a conditional in San Diego... I finished 855/997 in Seattle. And yes, they said the 77th academy with a possibility I could be rolled to the 76th.

Did anyone who got a no go letter say why? My buddy got a letter that said he wasn't gender neutral. Mine was just a simple no thank you.

Mine said the same as yours. I wish it had alluded to a reason, but I don't know how I'd increase my gender neutrality...WTF? lol

Lol did y'all have questions involving females, or any females on the oral board?

It's about how you answer questions, do you use "he" or "she" assuming its a male or female.

Were the "not gender neutral" peeps offered the open enrollee option?

I was lucky enough to get one of the conditionals, and have been doing some research trying to find the details [and or formula] surrounding the defined contribution 401k plan new recruits will be placed on. It would be great if someone could shed some light as to how this will work, how it ends up comparing to the old defined benefit plan [pension], and what it might ultimately mean for us down the road.

What academy are you in? I was placed in the 77th.

Yeah I guess there is a chance I might get bumped to the 76th... I hope not though because I am coming from out of state and need time to get everything together. I think the academy start dates were just random drawing though.

    Congratulations on SDFD man
