I was on a FEMA confrence call representing one of the alphabet groups (ISFSI) and Deputy Fire Administartor Gaines advised all the organizations that all federal travel is suspended due to the sequesture, including confrences, seminars etc so I doubt it. They usually have a booth but rumor is that will not be staffed due to the budget cuts as well?

I am hearing similar chatter as well. May also affect their workshops for this year as well.

Caught up with a few people so far, will be wandering around the halls again today. FYI the class was changed to today at 10:30, info that wasn't sent out until almost 2p yesterday. Half the FDIC staff didn't know it was moved. Oh well, conflicts happen. Heading that way now....anyone else going?

So ends up the class wasn't where it was said to be. Sorry I missed y'all that went, but I stopped by their booth. SAFER will open in about 6 weeks, and the upgrade to the AFG online application will take until August. Hope everyone has been working on SAFER plans too....

Nothing really in terms of program and item eligibility mentioned, it was mostly handling backend software/database issues from what I understood. I haven't gotten through everything it was just my brief conversation with the staff at FDIC.
