I have been searching for towns that will allow me to join as a volunteer Fireman. I have looked at Englewood Cliffs, Fort Lee, Tenafly and Leonia. I never got a call back from Tenafly. Fort Lee and Leonia aren't accepting out-of-town member. I was told to try Englewood Cliff's and never received a reply.
I am currently an EMT and will be finishing Rescue Technician this May 16th. I have more FEMA classes than needed. IS 5, 100, 200, 230, 288, 300, 400, 700, 701, 702, 703, 704, 706, 755, 800, 802, 808, 809 and 810. I am also a 9-1-1 and EMD dispatcher certified. I have spent the last 3 to 5 years working on being a great candidate for a department, but I feel there aren't many opportunities to get my foot in the door. I also volunteer with BC CERT and MRC.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
