73 Year Old Chaplain - Diet and Exercise
My diet is 80% vegetarian. I eat fruit and vegetables and nuts and beans and veggie frozen food. I also eat eggs and dairy and fish about 2 x weekly and meat about 2 x monthly. I also eat low calorie dinners and allow myself pasta in many of those dinners. I drink fresh vegetable juice 4 or 5 times weekly. I have had a lifelong struggle with weight and this diet allows me to enjoy food and maintain a healthy weight.
For exercise my choices are very limited because of a history of injuries. I usually exercise for 90 minutes every other day. My routine is 30 minutes on the recumbent bike and then working out on weight bearing machines and then stretching. As we move close to summer here in Florida I will also do some regular swimming on the days that I do not go to the gym. I hope this post encourages some to eat healthy, maintain healthy weight and exercise.
