We run a light rescue / QRS unit. Our current model is past it's prime and is rusting out. We are looking at replacing and wanted to know what the pertinent NFPA requirements are. Unfortunately, in the index, NFPA does not list QRS or light rescue apparatus. Any ideas of what we would have to meet?

Do you know if there are any NFPA "standards" specifically regarding a light rescue or QRS unit?

http://www.nfpa.org/catalog/TOC/1901-09-toc.html this is the table of contents url. It has specialized apparatus and standards for power and winches etc that may be included in your vehicle.
