As previously explained ....... from a Bond Tax dedicated only to fire apparatus and equipment such as PPE and SCBA.

But never let the facts get in the way of a miss-statement.

Your mooch-ual aid should get those rigs, since more wear is being put on their equipment in your first due than your own.

Yup you're right .. Those 4 or 5 runs a year is probably taking it's toll.

By the way, the new engine will replace a 1966, and the new tanker will replace a 1972 ex-logging truck chassis with over 390,000 miles.

    Firefighter safety?

Pssssssst ..... We run just as much into thier area for manpower, tanker ops and station coverage

Look everyone, one of the rigs has come in already, and it's modeled in Bobby's own image...

Actually, there are several departments in this part of the state that have order similar rigs as tankers.

Doesn't meet our needs though as we want limited attack capability for brush fire operations and compartmentalization so it can be rated as a service truck, but thanks for the suggestion.

Too small, except as a sprint tanker, but again, thanks for the idea.

As far as my exterior members, they have the same value as my interior members.

So you can get enough manpower to go into their area, but not enough to accomplish anything at structure fire in your own area. Yeah sure...

None? Because they don't show up for calls.

Generally they request 3-4 members as manpower, so yeah we usually can cover that at night.

And if they are specific as to tanker operations, we can send just drivers with a tanker and/or tanker engine, and an exterior member as a rider to assist with filling ops.

The pagers beeped as the tones were started
The crews were ready and set
The Lt climbed on and the route was charted
Some fire they were hoping to get

As the engine made its way through the night
The crews gear they're getting ready to heft
But because they stopped at every green light
When they arrived there was nothing left

The vehicle fire started out simple
It was only as big as a pimple
    By the time we arrived
    There was no one alive
And the parish was reduced to a dimple.
