Has anyone ever tested for henderson? If so, what was the test like?

I took it a few years back....missed the cutoff of 87% by one question. I think I rushed it a bit. They don't offer any materials to study from, but it's a typical reading comp., math, spatial concepts, mechanical reasoning test. And I think their last hire was for 3-4 people....so one has to do really well if they want a shot. (94%+)

Good luck, see you all on the 26th!

Anyone who has previously taken hendersons test, is the EMT portion of the test similar to national registry questions?

When i took it last time, the emt questions were taken straight from the current Brady book. Questions were similar, but easier than NR questions.

I scored a 83.33%. I am a little surprised as I thought I did better than this. I would of guessed mid to upper 80's. I doubt that my score will be high enough to move forward in the process. Good luck to everyone else.

You slipped by on that one buddy! Nice! 83.33 seems to be your lucky number. Good Luck!

I know! After all it is Las Vegas and I took a gamble and it payed off. Hahaha... Honestly though, I was shocked. For those of you who don't know, the cutoff is 83.33%.

Haha that is awesome! I barely scraped by with a 84. The 3 seperate oral boards sound pretty tough, good luck to all!

I took the oral board about 5 years ago, so not sure if it's the same, but it was a panel of officers and it was a free flowing interview. They asked all the candidates the same questions, but they did ask me follow ups to my answers and dug deeper into the topics.

Really I guess I'm only curious about the medical section of the oral boards. I've never heard of a department doing that.

I had my oral boards today. There were two oral board interviews and the selection interview, for a total of three. I did not make it to the selection interview. During the second oral board, I got stumped on some of the questions because some of them were very similar to the questions that were asked during the first oral board and I wasn't sure if I should give the same answers. Good luck to those moving on. On a side note, I have a private coaching session with Captain Rob on September 6th in preparation for my interview with LVF&R. From what I've heard and read this is well worth the time and money and am sure this will catapult me to that next level.
