This is an original Phenix leather. I found a shell and after working months with Phenix, Capital City Helmets, The FireStore and a couple manufacturers I came up with the interior parts. One of less than a thousand original production lids.

The leather is outstanding and the stamping is so very unique......a pair of coupled hose lines looping back to smoothbore nozzles with ladder and crossed pikes. I varied from original on the shieldholder because I did not want to drill new holes for a one piece crown/eagle. The refinish is my standard job in low gloss and I had a Paul Conway shield made.

Your input is welcome.......just wanted to share a piece of history (at least I consider it that).
