I'm starting the recruit academy for a paid department on August 1st and I'm looking for some nutrition advice. I already eat somewhat healthy but I know I can improve. I'm moving and Ill be sharing a kitchen and have to bring my lunch every day. I would assume some of you may have been in this same boat, so what kind of stuff did you eat at home and pack for lunch. I know the academy will be physically demanding so I'm looking for a diet that will maximize my physical and mental performance but at the same time not breaking the bank or being too difficult to maintain/prepare. The training will already be difficult enough, so the last thing I need is a poor diet slowing me down. What has worked for you guys in the past? Thanks in advance!
