Management is making sure things are done right. Leadership is doing the right thing. The fire service needs alot more leaders and a lot less managers.

"Everyone goes home" is the mantra for the pussification of the modern, American fire service.

Comments made are my own. They do not represent the official position or opinion of the Fire Department or the City for which I am employed. In fact, they are normally exactly the opposite.

    1500 feet!! LOL!!

200 or 300 feet realistically. I am just not sure now whether our trip will be bringing us near Memphis or not. I need to check with the boss and see what she says.

    I do appreciate your offer.

Careful what you wish for Fyred. Ask fire guys for a little help and you might end up having to rent a semi trailer to get all of your stuff home!
The fire service is about service to our fellow man.

Since we're on the subject.....I am desperately seeking a stream shaper for an old three-inlet multi-versal with a 3.5" nst discharge at the base, and a set of stack tips to go with it. If anyone has one laying around collecting dust, get a hold of me or weruj1.

I've got a couple 7/8 tips collecting dust here. Black aluminum. Free to a good home. Or a Mack CF
We do not rise to the occasion. We fall back to our level of training.

Finally, nationally recognized!! My life's work is complete!

FYRED, I'll look for some old brass for you. 2 1/2" double males, females...pin lug type stuff that hasn't been grabbed up by the union for our antiques. I saw an old 4 1/2" pin lug hydrant cap wrench on a pallet labeled "junk" when I was at our supply depot. There might be more in there.

Try this number, they will talk to you Bro. 1-866-254-5420. By they way I tried Memphis's phone number and it worked for me. I'm truly saddened, I've done so much to spread hate and discontentment and I my hard work hasn't been acknowledged.

Interested in a bell and/or bulldog? Have them from a 78 Mack. Might be able to part with them to a good home.

You have a bell? I would really like to trade you out of that. My chief is from Jersey and misses the bells badly. We don't put them on much out here normally given the cost it is hard to justify.

Aww you don't want to put that old bell on that beautiful Mack. Think about it man that bell spent its life in Jersey, if it isn't nearly corroded away it could make the rest of your truck rust from the amount of salt it has probably soaked up.
