    Default Firehouse Cats

We're a video production company based in Pasadena, CA and at times create branded content for Purina. One of the projects that we're developing is a short web documentary that features a firehouse that owns a cat. Has anyone ever heard or know of a firehouse that owns a cat? And would be interested in being featured in a web documentary?

    Thanks.

IIRC, Crozet Volunteer Fire Department in Albemarle County, VA has one.

We had one that showed up and stayed for awhile. Of coarse I have also worked at a station in South Memphis that was next door to a fella that had chickens, goats, and emu's. They would always wander over to the station. It was quite the spectacle.

Management is making sure things are done right. Leadership is doing the right thing. The fire service needs alot more leaders and a lot less managers.

"Everyone goes home" is the mantra for the pussification of the modern, American fire service.

Comments made are my own. They do not represent the official position or opinion of the Fire Department or the City for which I am employed. In fact, they are normally exactly the opposite.

    Thanks for the responses.

BoxAlarm187, is there anyone particular that we should contact at the Crozet fire department?

MemphisE34a, that's pretty crazy about the emus, chickens and goats. Sounds like the stray cat isn't around anymore though?

    Monarchy,

I can see if I can find a contact for you. I believe that the Brandy Station Fire Department in Culpeper County, Virginia also has one.

Ours were of the same size and, although we rarely saw them, we had the pleasure of listening to them run across the roof side of the acoustical ceiling tiles during the entire shift. I often wondered "when" one would bear too much weight and fall through a tile. The ones we did see would have given an average-sized dog a run for his money in a fight.
