    Post Volunteer Municipal & Wildfire

I have a quick question about volunteering as well as trying to do Wildfire with a contractor.

My assumption would be the FD I'm trying to get on with wouldn't really like that, or would they be alright with it?

Just trying to get my bearings straight.

    Thanks,

    Matt

    Maybe not the first year

Have known a few people that either volunteer or work part time for another dept

Just check with your full time on their rules

Also check medical, disability, sick leave to see what happens if you we hurt while doing it

If you VOLUNTEER, it's kinda your own business what you do on your own time. Most don't want you to volunteer for a neighboring dept., but if you're on a seasonal wildfire crew, that would probably be different.
