HOURS: Shift Work


DUTIES: Receives immediate supervision from upper level supervisory and field training staff. Attend classroom and practical training in the performance of a variety of duties relating to fire prevention and suppression under immediate supervision of field training staff. Learn how to respond to emergency calls; assist in the provision of appropriate services as required including emergency rescue and fire suppression; prepare reports regarding emergency incidents as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED certificate. Twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Must be a U.S. citizen with no felony convictions or other serious criminal background. Must possess a valid driverís license. Prior firefighter experience is not necessary.

I saw this posting on 911hotjobs. Deadline to apply is October 30, 2013. It says the city is hiring 80 recruits but no information about the process. Recruit pay is 12 hr. and around 27,000 a year after graduation. If any OTJ personnel or anyone that knows info on the department please post. Sorry for the long post.
