    Default Husqvarna Ring Saw

    Just had two classes with this tool, awesome machine for cutting concrete, has any one heard if there are going to be metal cutting blades for the saw/

    That is actually really cool.

    10" cuts instead of 5" could cut right through a block wall in one shot.


    Metal wise you could cut through I-beams with ease.

    The issue I see here is the heat generated by cutting metal. A solid (non abrasive) style blade for metal gets very hot, as does wood cutting. The heat generated by such a deep and prolonged cut could weaken the metal and cause it to flex resulting in failure. I have no real experience cutting masonry so I am not sure how the blade heats up in that regard.

    the saw has a water inlet on it and works real well, ill see if i can get some of the pics and vids i have of it working up. It was going through 6-8 inch reinforced concrete real easy.

    If you need to go through thick metal stick with a torch

    The Arc air, Oxy / fuel torch even a plasma cutter would all do better than a metal saw
