I was told I could come down tomorrow for noon, from Seattle.... Kind of wish I took what I had earlier because I doubt it's going to happen now.

Seriously?? When did you schedule that date? I was in Seattle today and tried to schedule one and I got a email response saying there were no available spots

I meant it as I live in Seattle and he said I could come down, I didn't schedule anything because last minute tickets around $500+ without transport or room (that's why I didn't take my last date, it would've run me ~650 for just airfare). That was sent to me at 13:28, I inquired around 9:30.

Were you in Seattle for an oral board?

Yes, I was at 10am. This is frustrating because I emailed him at 8am and got an email at 1330 saying there were no available times/dates! And maybe there will be an available date after Jan 10. Are you still planning on taking the biddle before the 17th?? Did he give you additional dates??

That's all I got. Literally just, "Tomorrow at 12 noon work?". I doubt I'll get it before the 17th unless I was told tomorrow to come on the 16th. Otherwise it's just not worth the cost of last second flights which could be the first of a few.

Just signed up for Mt SAC, $25. You can register as a household, not a student. It was very easy, took me 5min. Best part, it is on a Sunday!!

I take my test Sunday at Rio Hondo! I'm excited, but also nervous

And yes, airfare expensive! Scheduling was very last-minute for me, and I've been trying to get through since a month ago.

Anybody know if they're a transporting agency? I've had the hardest time finding info on them. I seem to remember seeing something that said their main medic unit got around 5000 calls per year (ridiculously busy), but I can't find that now and maybe I've been hallucinating.

Where are you flying from, I am doing mine on Sunday the 19th at Mt Sac, Airfare+ Rental Car= $196. Check out MT SAC, its is 8 dayso ut, so you can still find great deals on flights. For me, SFO-LAX=$116. Yes LBFD is a transporting agency

Has anyone heard any updates on cut off times or if its truly pass/fail and time is a decision maker after interviews? Seems to me there were a lot of mid-high 7:xx and low-mid 8:xx times with a few 6:xx when I was there.

Brian.....I said don't hold it to me of a time of 7:30. I has been done on pass tests and not certain it will be used again. I've told all to give the Biddle 110% of your effort and DO NOT DO ENOUGH TO JUST PASS. I have not heard that 7:30 is the cut off. If I do I'll post it.....good luck to all.

Hey all, I'm sure if you are in the process still you got the email already. Long Beach is going to hold first round interviews February 10-21. If you get to participate we will know by January 28th.

    Good Luck!

William ...sorry to see you've dropped out. I spent 26 plus years there and it is a great department.

Took Biddle yesterday at MT Sac, 43 tested and around 10 didn't pass. 5 no shows . Biddle was tough, seemed like the average was mid 8's with a couple 6's

Biddle is tough but you shouldn't have any problems if you're in shape. Under 730 should be no prob if you've been doing your cardio

Yes, I ran in the mid 8's, I wish I'd done better, and I'm really hoping that the 7:30 talk ends up being incorrect..

    How did you do?

I hope that the 7:30 talk is incorrect as well.

We find out soon......by the 28th! I'm guessing we will know before that......ah the waiting game! Hahaha

    Good luck to all!

AzAdAm...The 7:30 talk was of previous tests and has not been confirmed for this test. Good luck...

    Jay-

Do you know if our times and resumes will be considered?

I was originally told that Band "A" had 1500 candidates on it + - a few......all would be looked at. In the past they had selected a time for the physical agility as a point to select those going to Orals. All resumes were going to be looked at. As for those who go on to the Orals this test ....it's Long Beach's decision. If I hear more I'll pass it on.
