Getting in on this late, but I've been slowly adding to what I carry over the last few months. Just got back on the FD here a year ago after a nearly 11 year hiatus that included 2 moves...
Lid: 4 wedges (2 wood, 2 plastic), fully serrated 3" knife, old accountability tag (still waiting on a new one...), soon to be a UK 4AA light on there
Coat: radio pocket- medical gloves, radio (still trying to get the chief to budget in radio straps)
front pockets- hood, extrication gloves, retired-from-daily-use multi-tool and screwdriver bits, Garrity light
Also have a right angle UK light clipped on along with structural gloves in a glove loop
Pants: added a webbing harness between the liner and shell a few weeks ago with a locking 'biner, in the pockets I have a folding TFT spanner, trauma shears, a roll of 25-30' webbing with the ends tied into loops with non-locking 'biner, a 12' loop of webbing, a larger folding knife (4" I think, half serrated) and I don't remember what else off the top of my head....
I still need to add cutters and some sort of bail-out rope to my pockets, just keep hoping I can convince the chief to buy them before I pony up myself..
2 rubber door chocks
25' of rope
big chock (doesnt look good on my helmet, chief hates it too =p)
Sure, why not.
Coat pocket 1: Lumber crayon, work gloves;
Coat Pocket 2: hose wrench;
Label pocket: Notepad carrier with notepad and pencils, nutrition bar;
Outside of coat: Carabiner watch, knife.
Pant pocket 1: Channel-lock pliers, 4' loop of seatbelt, door wedge;
Pant pocket 2: 8' loop of climbing webbing, locking carabiner, flashlight.
gotta have a flashlight with intermittent setting for SOS
For structural firefighting?
