    Default AFG Equipment

Under the AFG Ops/ Safety Equipment. We are looking to upgrade our Vehicle Rescue Equipment on our Squad (Rescue) and Engine. Items we are looking are our Extrication tools/pumps, Airbags system, Struts and replace our scene lighting issues.

Its all important but might it be too much?

Shopping list is the term for unrelated items. Rescue tools, air bags, and struts are all rescue items that would be used on the same call so that package makes sense. Lighting if sold right could be put into that, hard to cut cars up using flashlights to see.

Now if you added hose, radios, etc, those are all different animals that would constitute a list. Related and maybe usable on the same scene, but not closely enough to warrant inclusion.

How do I list that properly since they are asking for total units and cost per unit in the drop downs? Our equipment is on 2 of our 9 apparatus but only one is the rescue? I do not want to add false data.

They're looking for the quantity requested and type of each with cost. Doesn't matter in the data entry section what vehicle you're putting it on, just list what you are requesting.

    (1) Power Unit - Unit Cost $7,500
    (1) Cutter - Unit Cost $6,000
    (1) Spreader - Unit Cost $7,000

    and so on...

We are looking to upgrade Hydraulics, Air Bag and Electrical System at the same time on the vehicle. I will do some more computing and see if that helps, thanks Chief.
